Text: Dec 3, 1599-Aug 21, 1662. Free Planter, native of Derbyshire, England. Freeman 1634 Dorchester. Few Monthes later in Roxbury. 1636 moved to Boston. In 1639 New Haven, Ct. lived on Chapel St. Prominent sitting in Church. Family consisted of 4 persons. court 1649. Shows that when he was "Master of the watch." two sentries who had disobeyed his orders and grossly neglected duty, "were ordered whipped." Estate 100-18-4p.
